Dark Sky App Ends for iPhone

Dark Sky
Dark Sky, the ground-breaking weather app for Apple iPhone, comes to an end on December 31, 2022.

Dark Sky became famous for its micro weather forecasting.  Users would receive an alert that weather conditions changed based on the user's exact location. Usually much faster and more accurate than any other weather service.

This sad news is not new.  Apple bought Dark Sky in 2020 for its technology and integrated it into the core operating system.  And Apple removed the app from the App Store several months ago.

But fear not, Dark Sky continues to live on -- as part of the iPhone's improved built-in weather app.

But it's still a sad day that the app will no longer work on January 1, 2023.

  • Right-click the taskbar
  • Open Taskbar Settings
  • Select the Taskbar behaviors drop-down
  • change Taskbar alignment to Left

iPhone Now Responds to Harry Potter Magic!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

The iPhone is a truly magical device.  It combines a phone and a multi-use computer.  And provides light with the built-in flash.

But now it is even more magical since it responds to spells from the magical world of Harry Potter.

Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter movies, users have found that the latest version of iOS 15 and Siri responds to your magical spell commands.

For example, invoke Siri with "Hey Siri" and then say "Lumos" to turn on the built-in flash for light.

To turn the flash off, simply invoke Siri again and say "Nox".

Enjoy!
