Apple Updates Siri to Screen for the COVID19 Corona Virus

Apple Siri
Apple has updated Siri, its virtual digital assistant, to screen for the COVID19 virus.

To use the new feature, just ask Siri, "Do I have the Corona Virus?"

Siri will then ask a series of Yes/No screening questions developed based on CDC criteria.

Users who answer "yes" to these questions, like those referencing COVID-19 symptoms, are advised to self-isolate, monitor the situation, or contact a medical provider if the condition worsens, are age 65 or over, or have a serious medical condition.

Siri can be found on Apple's iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS, and tvOS operating systems and devices.

Pokemon Go Cancels Community Days Due to Corona Virus

Pokemon Go Mobile App Icon
The news just keeps getting worse.

Among the many sporting, cultural and educational events that have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 Corona virus, we can now add the Pokemon Go Community Day event.

Niantic, the developer and publisher of Pokemon Go, announced that the March Community Day has been postponed.

The March event was an Abra Community Day.  Sorry Abra!

Pokemon Go, known for getting mobile gamers off their couches and out and about in the community to play the game with others, announced the postponement to reduce the spread of the virus.

But all is not lost..

Niantic announced several changes to the Pokemon Go game to allow users who stay at home to still enjoy the game:

  • A one-time purchase bundle of 30 Incense for 1 PokéCoin. Incense will also last for one hour.
  • 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during this time period
  • PokéStops will now drop Gifts more frequently
  • Pokémon habitats will increase and more Pokémon will be appearing in the wild

These changes are in effect until further notice.

So remember to keep your "social distance" or stay at home and continue to play Pokemon Go safely.

And wash your hands!
