With iOS 18, Apple delivers on this need, introducing a groundbreaking feature: app-level Face ID. 

This empowers users to mandate Face ID authentication for individual apps, ensuring sensitive data remains shielded from prying eyes.

By enabling this feature, users gain an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access, even if their device falls into the wrong hands.

Here's how to do it.

1. Long press the app icon.
2. Select "Require Face ID"
3. Select "Require Face ID" on the popup window or "Hide and Require Face ID".
4. Hide and  Require Face ID moves the app to the Hidden folder.  
5. To access the app, swipe left from your last home screen.

You can also require Face ID from the settings app:

1. Open the "Settings" app on your iPhone.
2. Navigate to "Face ID & Passcode."
3. Scroll down to the "Other Apps" section.
4. Toggle on Face ID for the desired apps.
