Here's a Cool Tip:  Update to the recent *optional* Windows 11 update.

With the August 2024 improvements to the Narrator feature, Microsoft is making strides in accessibility, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a seamless digital experience.

The Narrator feature in Windows 11 is a built-in screen reader designed to assist users with visual impairments by reading aloud the text displayed on the screen and describing on-screen elements. 

This tool helps users navigate the operating system, use applications, and browse the web more easily.

Here's how to do it.
  1. Ensure your system is updated to the latest version. 
  2. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
  3. Press Windows key + Ctrl + Enter to turn on Narrator.
  4. Navigate to Settings > Accessibility > Narrator to adjust voice, speed, and other preferences.
  5. Open Microsoft Edge and start browsing. Narrator will now read out loud with improved speed and accuracy.
  6.  Utilize the new text selection, deletion, and navigation commands for a more efficient experience.
    • Text Selection:
      • Select from current position to end of line: Press Caps Lock + Shift + L.
      • Select from current position to beginning of line: Press Caps Lock + Shift + J.
      • Select from current position to end of document: Press Caps Lock + Shift + End.
      • Select from current position to beginning of document: Press Caps Lock + Shift + Home.
    • Text Deletion:
      • Delete from current position to end of line: Press Caps Lock + Shift + Delete.
      • Delete from current position to beginning of line: Press Caps Lock + Shift + Backspace.
    • Navigation:
      • Move to next paragraph: Press Caps Lock + Ctrl + Down Arrow.
      • Move to previous paragraph: Press Caps Lock + Ctrl + Up Arrow.
      • Move to next heading: Press Caps Lock + H.
      • Move to previous heading: Press Caps Lock + Shift + H.

The update significantly enhances the speed and accuracy of the Narrator, particularly when reading large documents and browsing with Edge.
