Supercharge Your Browsing with Copilot AI in Microsoft Edge

Have you ever wondered how you could supercharge your browsing experience? 

Have you ever wished for a personal assistant right within your browser? 

Here's a Cool Tip.  Explore the new Copilot feature in Microsoft Edge.

Here's how to do it.

• If you haven’t already, download and install the latest version of Microsoft Edge from the Microsoft Store. (US store link).
• Navigate to the browser settings - click the three dots in the top right corner and select Settings.
• Click on Sidebar option.
• Click on Copilot.

• Toggle on Show Copilot, Automatically open Copilot in the sidebar, Allow Microsoft to access page content and Show shopping notifications.

• Select the Copilot icon in the top right corner to display the Copilot sidebar screen.
• Use these three options:

• Chat:  

• The Chat option in Copilot for Microsoft Edge is an AI-powered feature that allows you to engage in a conversational, AI-powered search that goes beyond traditional search engine capabilities.

• Compose: 

• Start writing an email or document in Microsoft Edge. As you type, you’ll notice that Copilot begins to suggest completions based on your initial words. These suggestions appear in a dropdown menu below your cursor. To accept a suggestion, simply press the “Tab” key on your keyboard.

• Insight: 

• While reading an article or document in Microsoft Edge, you can use Copilot’s Insight feature to gain additional information. Simply highlight the text you’re interested in, right-click, and select “Insight”. A sidebar will appear with relevant insights about the highlighted text.

You can engage in a back-and-forth with Copilot, asking for more details, resources, links, etc. on any topic you can imagine. 

Copilot can save you time, reduce effort, and even improve the quality of your writing. 

However, don't rely too heavily on Copilot as it may limit your own writing development.

And never, ever, share personal or company private information in Copilot or any other AI.
