How to Set Search Engines for iPhone iOS17

What is your favorite search Engine?

Google?   Duck, Duck, Go?   YAHOO?

Do you want to use a different search engine on your iPhone, or set a different search engine for private browsing? 

Here's a Cool Tip.  Change your search engine setting in iOS 17.

This is a great way to improve your privacy and have more control over your search experience.

Here's how to do it.
  • Open the Settings app.
  • Scroll down and tap Safari.

  • Under the Search section, tap Search Engine.
  • Choose a search engine from the list.

  • Choose Safari to return.
  • To set a different search engine for private browsing, tap Private Search Engine.
  • Choose a search engine from the list.

  • Use Default Search Engine (under Private Search Engine): This will use the same search engine for private browsing as you set for regular browsing.
You can choose from five different search engines: Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and Ecosia.

If you're concerned about your privacy, you may want to consider using a search engine like DuckDuckGo, which doesn't track your searches.

You can also change your search engine at any time by following the steps above.

Setting a search engine and private search engine for iPhone iOS17 is a great way to improve your privacy and have more control over your search experience.

The Google Doodle Snake Game is a reimagined version of the classic game that is perfect for all ages.

If you're new to the Snake game, here's a quick overview: the goal of the game is to guide a snake around the screen, eating food items as you go. 

As the snake eats, it grows longer, making it more difficult to maneuver. 

The game ends when the snake collides with itself or the walls of the screen.

The Google Doodle Snake Game is easy to learn but difficult to master. 

Here's how to play it.
  • Go to the Google Snake site: https://www.google.com/fbx?fbx=snake_arcade
  • Click on the snake-shaped Play button.
  • Use the arrow keys to move the snake and eat food items.
  • On a smartphone, swipe the direction to move with your finger.
  • Avoid colliding with yourself or the walls of the screen.
  • Keep playing until you reach a high score!

How to use Google to Learn How to Pronounce a Word

Have you ever come across a word that you didn't know how to pronounce? 

It can be embarrassing to mispronounce a word in public, especially if you're a native speaker. 

Here's a Cool Tip:  Use Google!

Here's how to do it.
  • Go to the Google Search website, https://www.Google.com
  • Type the word plus Pronunciation that you want to learn how to pronounce in the search bar.
    • For example Plateau Pronunciation
  • Click on the Search button.
  • In the search results, scroll down to the Pronunciation section.
  • Click on the Speaker icon to hear the word pronounced.
  • Make sure you have the volume set so you can hear the pronunciation.

You can adjust the speed of the pronunciation by clicking on the Speed button.

You can also choose to hear the word pronounced in a different accent by clicking on the Pronunciation button.

1. Find a page in search results that contains personally identifiable information
2. Tap the three-dot menu icon to bring up the “About this result” panel

That's because "affect" is a verb and "effect" is a noun.
