What Is Link to Slides in PowerPoint for the Web?

This feature allows users to hyperlink text within a slide to another slide in the same presentation.

Previously available only in PowerPoint for Windows and Mac, it now extends to the web version, ensuring a seamless experience across platforms. 

Whether you're designing a table of contents, quick navigation shortcuts, or interactive storytelling, this functionality makes presentations more dynamic.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Here's how to do it.

For PowerPoint on the Web

1. Open a new or existing presentation in PowerPoint for the web.
2. Highlight the text you want to turn into a link.
3. Click the Insert tab and select the Link icon.
4. Choose This Presentation from the dropdown menu.
5. Select the slide you want the link to navigate to.
6. Click Insert—your hyperlinked text will now appear underlined in green.

For iOS and Android

Currently, this feature is available only in PowerPoint for the web. 

Mobile users can still manually insert hyperlinks but may not have the same seamless slide-linking experience.
