These connectors turn Edge into a productivity hub that understands your work and personal life in a way that feels surprisingly natural.

Copilot connectors are small data bridges that let Copilot access your cloud accounts when you approve them. In Edge, these connectors now include both Microsoft 365 services and Google services. 

When you turn them on, Copilot can ground its responses in your real content.

Microsoft 365 connectors include Outlook Mail, Outlook Calendar, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams Chat, and the unified Microsoft 365 file system. 

Google connectors include Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar. Once enabled, Copilot can search, summarize, compare, and draft using the information stored in these accounts.

This matters because it reduces friction. Instead of switching between apps, tabs, and folders, you can ask Copilot to find what you need and act on it. 

The connectors use the same Microsoft Graph connector infrastructure documented by Microsoft, which ensures consistent permissions and secure access.

  4. Choose Connectors.
  5. Turn on the Microsoft 365 connectors you want:
    • Microsoft OneDrive.
    • Outlook.
      7. Turn on Google connectors if you have linked a Google account:
    • Gmail.
    • Google Drive.
    • Google Calendar.
    • Google Contacts.
8. Ask Copilot a grounded question such as: “Summarize my last three Gmail messages and find any related files in Google Drive.”
