The Wine Rookie Plays a Wine Guessing Game with ChatGPT

The Wine Rookie logo
What happens when a wine connoisseur meets ChatGPT?

They play a wine guessing game, of course.

Noted wine expert Paul, The Wine Rookie, recently did just that.

Paul told ChatGPT that he wanted to a play a wine guessing game.

The object of the game was for ChatGPT to identify the wine just by Paul's tasting notes.

How do you think this turned out?

Let's watch.

Source: The Wine Rookie

Paul gave ChatGPT his tasting notes that included telling it that the wine was red, with ruby near the edges, had notes of red plums, cherries, strawberries, hibiscus, licorice, leather and no oak at all.

Paul also told ChatGPT that the wine had aromas of black tea, cream, cocoa and fresh ground rainbow pepper.

ChatGPT took an initial guess of a Pinot Noir.

But Paul then told ChatGPT that it was not a Pinot Noir.

ChatGPT then correctly guessed the wine as a Syrah and Grenache blend.

Score one for ChatGPT.

This is certainly an interesting use of AI.

The Wine Rookie plans to do more wine-rated ChatGPT videos.

Check out The Wine Rookie's site.  You can also find him on Facebook The Wine Rookie.

Enjoy!

How AI is Changing the Way We Work: An Example for Bing Chat AI, Excel and Data Analysis

As AI, in all of its forms, becomes more prevalent, we will all find practical examples to use these powerful tools in our professional and personal lives.

But is it all just hyperbole?

A modern day "fluff" PR stunt to promote a brand and make someone rich before it all crashes and burns?

Maybe, it's too soon to tell.

But let's look at an example with AI that's available today with Microsoft Bing Chat.

As a reminder, Bing Chat uses ChatGPT to power its AI feature.

In this case, a beginning Excel user is tasked with performing data analysis on sales data for the previous year, by quarter and by region.

Let's see what Bing Chat can do.

I asked Bing Chat to review the sales data table and provide the Microsoft Excel formulas for meaningful results.

Bing Chat Request for Sales Analysis

fig. 1  Bing Chat Request for Sales Analysis

Bing Chat returned the following:

Bing Chat Excel Sales Data Analysis
fig. 2   Bing Sales Analysis Results

Not too bad.

The formulas worked to add additional content for Totals, Averages, Minimums, Maximums and Quarter over Quarter Percentages.

Following the formula examples provided by Bing Chat, I added the formulas and the Excel table now shows these results.

Bing Chat Excel Results
fig. 3  Excel Sales Data updated to Bing Chat AI examples.

Can more be done?

AI is designed to allow users to engage in conversations.

I asked Bing Chat for more examples.

fig. 4   Bing

The results provided more analysis that could be added to the data table, including Percentage of Total Sales, Year-to-date Sales, Quarter-over-quarter change, and Year-over-year change.

In this simple example, a user could get a good start on their work assignment.

A more experienced Excel user would knows these capabilities and how to use them in Excel.

But this is a good example of what is possible.

And playing further with this example would bring more depth to the analysis.

AI is improving and it will play a greater role in our professional and personal lives.

One Simple Cool Tip to Boost Your Productivity with Chrome Windows

Google Chrome
Google Chrome is one of the most popular web browsers in the world, and for good reason.

It's fast, secure, and packed with features.

One of those features, a Cool Tip, is the ability to name your Chrome windows.

Why do this?

You can organize your chrome windows and tabs logically.

And give each window its own unique name.

Each Chrome window can contain many tabs and you can move tabs from window to window to keep them organized.

This can be a great way to keep track of different windows, especially if you have a lot of them open at the same time.

To name a Chrome window, follow these steps:

  • Right-click on the title bar of the window you want to name.
  • Select Name Window from the menu.
  • Enter a name for the window in the text box that appears.
  • Click OK.
Name Chrome Window
Name Chrome Windows

The name of the windows will now appear in the taskbar and in the Alt+Tab menu.

View Chrome Window Name
View Chrome Window Names

Here are a few tips for naming your Chrome windows:

  • Be descriptive. The name of the window should give you a good idea of what's inside it.
  • Use short names. Long names can be difficult to read, especially when you're switching between windows quickly.
  • Use consistent naming conventions. This will make it easier to find the windows you're looking for.

Create a QR Code in Seconds Using This Cool Tip!

QR Code www.onecooltip.com
Do you want to create a QR code for a website you own or manage?

Are you publicizing a community or local event and want users to be able to scan a QR code to see your information?

Here's a Cool Tip: create QR codes from your Google Chrome browser.

A QR code is a two-dimensional barcode that can be read by smartphones and other mobile devices.

They are a great way to share information quickly and easily such as websites, contact information, social media profiles, and more.

Here's how to do it:

  • Open Chrome Chrome.
  • Go to the web page you want to create a QR for.
    • For example, http://www.OneCoolTip.com
  • Find the address bar:
    • Windows computers: To the right of the address bar, click Share icon
Chrome Share Icon
    • Select Create QR Code.
Chrome Create QR Code

  • Your new QR appears.

Chrome QR Code Download
  • Click Download to download the QR code to your PC or Mac.
  • Share your QR code far and wide.
    • Add the QR code to printed materials!
  • Others can scan the QR code to go to your website.
    • Use the Google App camera to scan the QR code.
    • Users can visit the website that the QR code promotes.
  • Mac computers: To the right of the address bar, click Share icon and then QR code .

The Google Chrome Dino is prominently located in the center of the QR code so you may want to find another option for your brand.

But for a quick and easy solution, this is a good way to create a QR code.

Enjoy!
