Google has transformed its "Results about you" feature from a reactive tool to a proactive privacy guardian.

The new features, including proactive monitoring and streamlined removal requests, are designed to enhance user experience and privacy.

Here's how to do it.

Access the "Results About You" Dashboard:
  1. Open your Google account in a web browser, www.google.com.
  2. Search for "results about you" in Google Search.
  3. Click on the link to access the dashboard.
  4. New: You can now input multiple forms of personal information like addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses into the dashboard.

Enable Proactive Monitoring:
  1. Within the dashboard, locate the monitoring settings.
  2. Enable the option for proactive monitoring.
  3. Enter your name, address and emails.
  4. New: Google now automatically scans search results for your personal information and notifies you when new results appear.

Receive Notifications:
  1. Ensure your notification settings are enabled to receive alerts via email or push notifications when new results containing your personal information are found.
  2. New: Google sends out alerts automatically.

  1. When you find a search result containing your personal information, click the three vertical dots next to the result.
  2. Select "Remove result" from the dropdown menu.
