Have you ever paid $8 for a Big Mac because it was the only McDonald’s near your busy route?

That sting is real.

Here's a Cool Tip:  Find the Cheapest Big Mac at McCheapest.

McCheapest is a live price‑tracking map showing where Big Macs are cheapest (and priciest) across the U.S.
McCheapest

What the McCheapest Map Is

McCheapest is the brainchild of British analyst Sacha Fournier and the team at Pantry & Larder, gathering Big Mac prices from over 10,000 U.S. McDonald’s locations.

It displays data on an interactive map, color‑coded by price, letting users locate the best burger deals nearby or along their route .

What You’ll Gain
  • Save money by finding the cheapest Big Mac near you
  • Gain transparency on how fast‑food prices vary by location
  • Plan smarter for travel routes or lunch decisions

How It Works (Step‑by‑Step)

Here's how to do it.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

Microsoft Web/Desktop
  1. Visit mccheapest.com.
  2. Zoom into your area—prices appear as colored pins.
  3. Click a pin to see that location’s current Big Mac price.
🍔 Hunt Down the Cheapest Big Mac Ever

Pros and Cons

The McCheapest Map is both clever and limited.

Pros
  • Location‑based pricing: Direct from official menus.
  • Visual clarity: Color‑coded pins give a clear view at a glance.
  • Money‑saving potential: Cheaper options like Stigler, OK ($3.49) vs. Lee, MA ($8.09).
  • Perfect for road warriors and busy professionals in travel mode.

Cons
  • Data lag: Some prices may have changed since last update.
  • No promos included: Coupons, app‑only deals, or value meals aren’t factored in.
  • Single item focus: Only tracks Big Macs—not nuggets, fries, etc.

Key Takeaways
  • McCheapest offers a fast, visual way to compare Big Mac prices by location.
  • It can deliver meaningful savings for frequent travellers or commuters.
  • Understand its limitations—data may be dated and lacks promo integration.
Try It Yourself
